Bike Ride - 2007_08_11

I decided to head out for another bike ride on Saturday, and biked north from my house up to almost the 401. It still amazes me that 5 minutes from my house it is all farm land and wide open spaces. From what I learned saturday is the following:

1. I could never bike in the Tour de France, as i always ‘crack’ going up even the slightest hill
2. There are many many ‘pro’ bikers out biking west of Mississauga, many of whom drive and park their cars along this one small road and then go bike in their groups
3. Yelling ‘Batter Up’ means a large group of bikers are coming up along your side, so don’t piss them off!
4. No matter who you are, since you are out biking, every other biker will give you ‘the nod’ or point at you because you are also ‘out there’ biking
5. Having a used propane tank with its bottom cut off is an acceptable mail box
6. The more I bike, the more I want to go biking when I get home
7. And finally.. going on a stationary bike in a gym for 2 hours would kill me, but biking out randomly for 2 hours seems like nothing
