Following up behind the Coke set, is a set about Keiths Red Amber Ale. This was probably the hardest of all sets to take because my beer was getting warm in the sun and I was taking photos of my beer, rather than drinking it. Either way this is the newest brand of beer to hit the shelves here in Ontario…I know all those folks out East in Nova Scotia have been able to drink this for some time, but it finally has made its way out here. Enjoy!

Another nice day outside, so I decided to do some close-up photography of some bottles in my fridge…first up is Chantelle’s favourite - Coca-cola… or as Colin keeps telling us..not Coca-cola Classic. For some reason the fine folks who bottle Coke have dropped the ‘classic’ from their products…maybe I can borrow it from them and label this set a classic. Whatever its called, take a look through!

It was such a nice morning so I decided to wake up and go for a walk over to the garden centre at the Loblaws next to our house. It felt kinda awkward taking photos of the different plants/flowers there, but I did manage to take some cool shots. The purple leaf above is by far one of my most favourite photos that I’ve ever taken!

June 4th, 2007, at 9:30 am by AdamI have 3 new sets to share with you! I tried to change the settings with my flickr upload program to not have my images scale when uploading…boy did that take pretty much forever when uploading..The good…I have the full high res photos on my flickr account - great for archiving…. The bad…insanely long upload time and horribly slow internet speed (Perfect for a Sunday and lazily watching movies though..)
Random Toronto - 2007_05_30

The first set has only 9 photos in it, and is of just some random shots here in Toronto..nothing special..just random. Click on the photo above to view the set.
Christine’s Wedding - 2007_06_02

The second set is from a wedding I was at just this past Saturday here in Toronto. My sister Julie called me on my way to work and asked if I wanted to go to her friend Christine’s wedding….my response…sure! Why not! It gave me an excuse to hang out with my sister, and to have a great time at a party.
Centrepiece - 2007_06_03

And the last set of photos I took of the centrepiece from our table…well, someone took our centrepiece so my sister decided to take someone else’s..that way I get the brownie points from my wife when i bring her home cookies and flowers! Click on the photo above to view the set.
May 31st, 2007, at 7:16 pm by AdamThe other day I was compiling a list of my favourite photos in iPhoto that I’ve taken, because I’m thinking of adding in a favourites section on my blog. I was scanning through my many photos from our Disney World honeymoon, when I realized that one of my sets from the Magic Kingdom wasn’t there! A few months back, I was trying out Aperture, and thought that it was really amazing and decided to import all my photos from iPhoto into Aperture and us it as my default editing program…Mistake #1…I had then deleted all of my iPhoto library because I don’t have a backup hard drive yet, and I didn’t want duplicate files on my hard drive. After about an hour or so I was getting really frustrated and simply missed my iPhoto! How could I have turned my back on it! BUT it was a nightmare trying to get all my photos back into iPhoto, and somehow I ended up with alot of duplicates(I think this was due to the Modified/Originals folder structure that iPhoto creates when editing within its program)…so I had to comb through my folders trying to sort out the duplicates and get my library back to some sort of order. Long story short, I think I survived the mini crisis with only a few lost hours of sleep…until the other week when I realized that I had erased a set of my beloved photos from Disney World!
Enter Mistake #2…I have a bad habit of not labeling… if at all backing up my photos correctly. I at random will write something on a DVD that I’ve burnt and toss it into the black binder of doom, only to be forgotten and cursed at such as this evening. I went through that entire binder and I couldn’t find the photo set anywhere! Flickr to the rescue! I knew that I had uploaded all of my photos to Flickr, so I quickly searched and found a program that I could download my photos back to my computer… The only problem is when uploading the photos to Flickr, the resolution was reduced ever so slightly, so I have my photos back, but not super awesome quality that my old Canon Rebel produced.
The program is called Flickr Backup… give it a try…it just might save you too!
Here is a screen grab:

Lesson learned… back up, back up your backups…and then properly label your backups so that you don’t become an idiot like me and delete your precious memories!

After the very positive success that Chantelle has been having on her Etsy store, I’ve finally decided to jump on board and start up my own online store. As of right now, I only have about 8 photos up there for sale, but I’ll be slowly adding more as time goes by…so here is your chance…I need you to tell me what your favourite photos I’ve taken are!
On top of the Etsy store, I’ve now also added in the functionality to be able to purchase the daily photo on this site. Above the main photo there is a “purchase this photo” link that takes you to the ordering page - which is connected through with Paypal.
My vast collection of photos available to purchase can be found online at my flickr site! . So have a look and if anything sparks you to open your wallet, I’ll be here waiting to help you in your quest to give the ultimate (quick and easy) gift for all your loved ones!
